Benchmarking
Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 12:12AM I did a BIOS flash to see if I could fix the memory problem, but it looks like I'm missing Ram because of a physical address space issue. In my experience 32-bit Windows has been able to recognize three gigabytes of RAM, but on this machine I can only see two. I'm not sure what else is using the other two gigabytes of physical address space, but it isn't RAM. Anyway since I overclocked I thought I would show a processor benchmark and some other stuff. After the BIOS flash, I had to change the base-clock frequency again to 165. For some reason, the processing frequency is 3.47 Ghz instead of 3.56 or something like that. Anyway, I thought it might have been SpeedStep tech, but it was the same running Prime95. I'm not sure what caused that, but I'm O.K. with a miniscule difference like that.
I wanted to do some benchmarks, but that may have to wait until later. I haven't been able to get the PC Mark Vantage setup to run, so I'm going to see what is going on there a little later. However, I did take a picture of the CPUID screen while I was running Prime95. I just thought I would show that at least.
